ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE BOAT RACE DINNER ON 30TH MARCH 2024
“SUPER EARLY BIRD” AND OTHER RATES
Dear Members,
As you may have heard, this year’s Boat Race Dinner is taking place on the same day as the Oxford vs. Cambridge Boat Race in London, and we plan to livestream the race for you at the Taj Mahal Hotel. The Boat Race Dinner will take place at the Diwan-i-am Ballroom on Saturday, the 30th of March. The Taj have given us an absolutely wonderful rate without alcohol, and we are working on sponsorship for at least some of the beverages. We are also teeing-up for a dinner dance band and the committee is still making arrangements for sponsors given the very high cost of licences (much more than the cost of the band).
The Society would like to continue having young members, their significant others and our senior members attend the event though the costs have gone up a lot. To make this possible, we are offering a SUPER EARLY BIRD RATE UPTO Midnight on Tuesday 12th March at the following rates:

| Super Early Bird for others | Rs.2,950/- |
The Super Early Bird Rate will apply for a maximum of up to 2 persons (member & partner only) per membership and no guests will be allowed at the Super Early Bird rate.
The Early Bird Rate applicable from the morning of Wednesday 13th March will be about 30% higher than the Super Early Bird, but it will still be below our cost, so please book your tickets now. This venue also has limited capacity.
The above rates shall be applicable only from today (Wednesday, 6th March) up to Tuesday, the 12th of March. Payments received on or after 12th March (even cheques received on or after 12th March midnight) shall be accepted at the Early Bird Rates which will be higher. The Early Bird ends one week later, i.e., on Tuesday, 19th March.
We encourage you to register with your spouse or significant other. Guests can be registered after 12th March. The consolidated rate chart is as under:

ART AUCTION: We are planning an Art Auction with some eminent artists participating and expect to auction many young artists works mostly below Rs.1 lakh. We are hopeful that you will consider picking up some art works since a small percentage of the funds will go to charity and a percentage of sales will go to the Oxford & Cambridge Society of India.
