The Oxbridge Lecture Series – 10 June 2016

‘Oxbridge Lecture Series’

Journalism in India – Supporting Good Governance or Merely Providing Entertainment

The British Council in collaboration with the Oxford and Cambridge Society of India is delighted to invite you for the next talks in the Oxbridge Lecture Series. Three prominent Oxbridge alumni, all known for their passionate and often uncompromising views, will speak and discuss the role journalism plays in a changing India.

As Edmund Burke said, “yonder, there sat a Fourth Estate more important far than they all.”

Join Chandan Mitra, Mani Shankar Aiyar and Radha Kumar for an evening of incisive arguments as the Oxbridge Lecture Series grapples with the form and function of reporting and journalism.

We are delighted that Sir Ciarán Devane, Chief Executive, British Council, will be present as the Guest of Honour.
