Feature Film-"The Situation"
at the India International Centre Auditorium.

THE SITUATION

The movie, THE SITUATION, was directed by Philip Haas (UP AT THE VILLA, ANGELS & INSECTS) and stars Connie Nielsen (GLADIATOR, BROTHERS), Damian Lewis (KEANE, BAND OF BROTHERS), and Mido Hamada (THE PATH TO 9/11).

Combining elements of thriller, romance, and war movie, THE SITUATION, is the first U.S. feature film to deal with the war in Iraq. It is the story of an American journalist investigating the assassination of a trusted Iraqi source. Along the way, as she tries to make sense of the half-truths of Iraq, she finds herself pulled between Dan, her intelligence officer boyfriend, and Zaid, a young Iraqi photographer.

O, The Oprah Magazine selected THE SITUATION as their February "Must-See Little Movie of The Month." They called it a "a fast-paced gripping drama that illuminates the intricacies of a world many Americans still struggle to comprehend. The Situation is a vivid engrossing story that depicts life in the ripped-to-shreds country without taking sides."

The film owes its verisimilitude to the script by Wendell Steavenson, a young female journalist who drew on her own experience reporting from the thick of the conflict in Iraq for Slate, Financial Times and Granta.

The film opens theatrically in the US in early February
